We are delighted to have partnered with Backpack beds for Homeless.
Backpack Bed for Homeless provides emergency relief Backpack Beds to street sleeping homeless people without shelter. They work in partnership with 550+ homeless agencies across Australia to reach homeless people who do not have any other form of accommodation. The Backpack Bed is study proven to improve health, dignity, sleep, warmth, comfort and safety.
The project has been Awarded a 2011 Australian Human rights award by the Australian Human Rights Commission.
Regrettably homelessness, especially ‘rough sleeping’ where people literally have no roof over their head on a consistent basis, is not a prominent enough issue in Australia (especially not an election issue sadly).
This leaves many worthy charities that work hard to add safety and dignity to people’s lives short of the support that they need.
Whether you support these guys via our purpose-built event ‘Street Survivors’, or by donating a box of 4 Backpack Beds to a frontline provider who will get them straight to those in need, this is a worthy cause that has immediate impact on the quality people’s lives.
